3D MODELING

With decades of SolidWorks 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) experience, Situs Engineering has the ability to proficiently create detailed 3D models of your design concepts.  Not only are we certified SolidWorks users, but we also provide SolidWorks training and technical support.

3D MODELING provides a realistic representation of your designs, helping you to visualize the final product before it's built. This aids in making design decisions, catching potential issues early in the process, and quickly making design iterations.

Situs Engineering's 3D modeling services include:

• Product Design - Taking your product concepts to production by applying Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles and our knowledge of injection molding, casting, weldment, sheet metal, and machined part design.
• Legacy Data Conversion - Converting your 2D drawings or legacy 3D files into SolidWorks 3D CAD Models. We can work with any common type of CAD file (e.g., SolidEdge, Inventor, Creo, Catia, Step, AutoCAD, ...).
• Design Documentation - Creating 3D models and 2D production drawings of your existing products.
• 3D Modeling for Printing - Building CAD models from which physical models can be rapidly prototyped.  We can print parts up to 11.8" x 11.8" x 13.3" out of a wide variety of plastics in-house and optimize designs for printing.
• Reverse Engineering - Creating 3D models of your existing parts whether that involves laser scanning the parts or measuring with a tape measure and calipers.
• Technical Support - Troubleshooting errors in your existing SolidWorks models or assisting with building challenging models.
